Gaussian deconvolution of fluorescence emission spectra at 77K was performed on C. reinhardtii 1690 and Clamydomonas sp. UWO241 cell cultures treated with inhibitors. The effects of DCMU (A and B) and DBMIB (C and D) on 77K emission spectra in C. reinhardtii 1690 (A and C) and Clamydomonas sp. UWO241 (B and D) are shown. Cell cultures were incubated for 5 min in the dark in the presence of either 5 µm DCMU or 3 µm DBMIB, followed by a 5 min exposure to growth irradiance. Chl fluorescence was excited at 436 nm.
