TASK-1 and TASK-3 transcripts are colocalized in serotonergic neurons of the caudal raphe. In situhybridization with digoxigenin-labeled RNA probes complementary to TASK-1 and TASK-3 was combined with immunohistochemistry for TPH on coronal sections of rat brainstem. A, C, TASK-1-expressing neurons of ROb and TASK-3-expressing neurons of RPa are shown in bright-field photomicrographs. B,D, Immunofluorescence photomicrographs of the corresponding sections shows the location of TPH-IR neurons.
