BDNF upregulates GABAA receptor (GABAaR) protein and presynaptic proteins. Cells were cultured in the presence or absence of 50 ng/ml BDNF for 7–10 d, and the extracts were analyzed by Western blot for NR1, GluR1, and GABAAR β2/3 (A), and syntaxin, synaptobrevin, and synaptophysin (B).
