Data shown are mean (± SEM) avoid responses recorded on each of 12 d by untreated male (top) and female (bottom) wild-type (WT) and GABAA receptor α5 knock-out (α5 −/−) mice (n = 7–10). There was no significant difference between WT and α5 −/− mice but a significant effect of sex (p < 0.05).
