Microtubule depolymerization and redistribution of tubulin in response to carbachol stimulation in GFP–tubulin-expressing SK-N-SH cells. SK-N-SH cells were transfected with EGFP–tubulin cDNA as described. Twenty four hours after transfection, cells treated with either vehicle (control) or 100 μm carbachol were observed on a heated (37°C) microscope stage, and images were collected at 15 sec intervals as described.
