Pathfinding of LBD sensory neuron axons.AD, LBD sensory neuron axons were examined with mAb 1D4 immunocytochemistry in hour 16–18 embryos. In wild-type controls (wildtype), the LBD axon navigates along a stereotypic pathway toward the CNS (A). The LBD axon exhibited normal pathfinding with the presence of Dcdc42V12 (V12; B), Dcdc42V12A37 (V12A37;C), or Dcdc42 (V12C40; D). Scale bar, 10 μm. E, The frequencies of pathfinding defects are summarized. Normal pathfinding was defined as described for the wild type in A. All parental controls were indistinguishable fromCantonS (100% normal pathfinding; n = 87–108 hemisegments).
