Effect of knockdown of CLDN1 and CLDN11 on hypoxia levels and anticancer drug-induced toxicity in spheroids. RERF-LC-AI cells were plated on PrimeSurface96V multi-well plates and transfected with siRNAs for negative control, CLDN1, or CLDN11. (A,B) After treating the cells with 2 μM LOX-1 for 24 h, fluorescence images were acquired. The spheroid size and fluorescence intensities of LOX-1 are represented as a percentage of values in the negative control siRNA. (C) The cells were incubated with DXR for 60 min.
