(b) Normalized elastic moduli, G/G0 as a function of time. This data is fit to eq 4, where kd and k* are the first-order rate and enzymatic kinetic constants, respectively. This fit resulted in an initial MMP concentration, [MMP0], of 1.23 × 10−7 ± 1.35 × 10−8 M for a hMSC encapsulation concentration of 2 × 105 cells/mL.
