Induction of capacitative calcium (Ca2+) entry in MG‐63 cells. Fluo‐3‐loaded cells were treated with 5 µm thapsigargin (Tg) in Ca2+‐free HEPES‐buffered saline solution. After agonist‐mediated intracellular Ca2+ release, Ca2+ (final concentration of 1.8 mm, right arrow) were introduced into the buffer alone (○) or in the presence of (□) 2‐APB (100 µm) or (Inline graphic) SKF‐96365 (30 µm). Each response shown is from at least three experiments with cumulative analysis of between 30 and 40 cells per field. Inset: addition of calcium to Ca2+‐free HEPES‐buffered saline solution without prior incubation with Tg.
