A) Total RNA was isolated from liver reverse transcribed to cDNA and analyzed for the relative abundance of mRNAs encoding genes implicated in cholesterol transport. GAPDH was used for normalization. Data are expressed as relative abundance of transcripts in CETP transgenics (n=6) compared to WT controls (n=8, dashed horizontal line). Data were analyzed by two-tailed t-test. *p<0.05. B) Representative immunoblots from liver of WT and CETP transgenic mice. Membrane proteins were prepared from liver, subjected to SDS-PAGE, and analyzed by immunoblotting. Autoradiographs were scanned and signal intensity analyzed by densitometry.
