Data (mean ± SEM) were obtained over a 24 hr baseline period in which the animals were undisturbed. Numbers in parentheses indicate number of male and female mice, respectively. Sex differences were not significant (data not shown). NREM time, REM time, and wake time are reported as percentage of recording time. Sleep bout duration is in minutes. One-way ANOVA indicated significant genotype effects [p < 0.014, df = (2,36)] on NREM time, wake time, and mean sleep bout during the light portion of the cycle.
