DNA from putative differentially expressed bands found in duplicate samples was reamplified by PCR using the appropriate primer combination. cDNA fragments were subcloned, and five separate clones from each fragment were sequenced. Comparisons of unknown nucleotide sequences to known sequences in the GenBank and EMBL data bases were performed using the BLAST program. The cDNAs ranged from 251 to 801 bp, and all of them were upregulated by BDNF.
