In DN rats, all indexes of BUN, Scr, proteinuria and KW/BW, GFR, as well as inflammatory factors TNF-α and IL-6 were significantly increased after treatment of STZ, however treatment with leflunomide, benazepril or the both dramatically reduced the effects. Renal function indexes were significantly lower in the combination group.
