(a) Under normoxia, IL‐4 (1 and 10 ng/ml) increased VEGF expression at Day 2. (b) IL‐4 (1 and 10 ng/ml) decreased VEGF expression under normoxia and hypoxia at Day 7. (c) VEGF protein concentration. Hypoxia enhanced VEGF protein concentration. IL‐4 (10 ng/ml) inhibited VEGF protein independent of the oxygen concentration at Day 7.
