Adherent cells (H1573, H661 and A549 cell lines) were treated, fixed using 4% formaldehyde, and probeded for K-Ras, GAPDH as described in Materials and Methods. Images were captured on a Nikon Eclipse Ti Microscope at 40× magnification. Nikon NIS-Elements software was used to quantify the mean fluorescent intensities per cell. Fluorescent intensity shown in graphs are mean ± SEM of N = 50 −100 cells and are representative of three independent experiments. Statistical comparison between untreated controls and treated groups were determined by 1-way ANOVA with Dunnett’s post-test comparisons. Significance was defined as *P < 0.05; **P < 0.01 and ***P < 0.001.
