Effect of N-eicosapentaenoyl dopamine (EPDA) on cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) gene expression by RAW264.7 macrophages exposed to lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Cells were seeded in 6-well plates at 500,000 cells mL⁻¹. After overnight incubation, cells were treated with (or without) LPS (0.5 μg mL⁻¹) and with (or without) EPDA (concentration range of 0.01–2.5 μM) for 24 h. Each sample was normalized on its RPS27A2 mRNA content. Data are expressed as percentages of LPS control (black bar, set at 100%), and represent the mean of three independent experiments (each done in duplicate) ± S.D. Asterisks indicate different mean values from those of control (** p < 0.01).
