CD8⁺TCRαβ⁺ cells are increased in peripheral blood of TB patients. PBMCs from healthy controls and TB patients were stained and analyzed for cell surface markers. First, a gate was designed to include CD8⁺ cells; then, within gated CD8⁺ cells, the frequency of TCRαβ⁺ and TCRγδ⁺ cells was measured. Representative plots are shown (a).
