IL-1β induction of NF-κB transcriptional activation is downregulated by oATP1-a

Astrocytes were transfected with a luciferase reporter construct for NF-κB. Cells were harvested at 6 hr after cytokine treatment. Data are expressed as 103RLU. Statistical analysis by Wilcoxon matched paired test demonstrated that inhibition of NF-κB transcriptional activation by oATP was statistically significant (p > 0.03) over five separate experiments.
Cells were treated with 10 ng/ml IL-1β.
Cells were pretreated with 300 μm oATP.
Calculated as described in Materials and Methods.
