No significant effect of NT-3 on dendritic differentiation of Purkinje cell. Cerebellar neurons were cultured together with NT-3 (30 ng/ml) in the absence or presence of 100 μm APV. The cells were fixed after 14 DIV and visualized by double immunostaining for calbindin D-28K and NSE. Graphs show the quantitative analysis of the effect of NT-3 on granule cell survival and Purkinje cell dendritic differentiation in the absence or presence of 100 μm APV. No significant differences were seen in the granule cell survival rate, dendrite outgrowth, and the branching of Purkinje cells between the cultures treated with and without NT-3.
