PS1 mutant knock-in mice exhibit increased brain damage and behavioral deficits after focal ischemia-reperfusion. Wild-type and PS1 mutant mice were subjected to middle cerebral artery occlusion for 1 hr. Twenty two hours later neurological deficits were assessed (A), and at the 24 hr time point, the mice were killed, brain sections were stained with TTC, and infarct volume was quantified (B).
