Vehicle, cocaine, or haloperidol was administered chronically for 14 d, and mice were killed 6 h after the last injection. Levels of β-galactosidase were determined by immunohistochemistry as described in Materials and Methods. The data are the mean ± SEM;n = 7 separate determinations.
