Pentobarbital (PBT) modulation on GABAA and GABAC receptor currents in flat-mounted rd mouse retina. Pentobarbital (100 μm) was bath-applied together with either SR95531 or TPMPA, which isolated the GABAC and GABAAreceptor currents, respectively. Pentobarbital had no significant effect on the SR95531-resistant or GABAC receptor current, whereas it increased the amplitude and slowed down the decay of the TPMPA-resistant or GABAA receptor current (GABA puff, 1 mm, 1 sec).
