Sharp temporal sensitivity of low-frequency inhibition. In contrast to the inhibitory unit in Figure3F, this single unit displayed strong inhibition with sharp temporal selectivity. Inhibition was eliminated when the relative timing of tone bursts was changed by 2 msec. See Figure 3 for an explanation of figure conventions andsymbols.
