Root profiles were analyzed for four species; Casuarina glauca and Coriaria myrtifolia represent actinorhizal species, Begonia bowerae (Begoniaceae); Coriaria myrtifolia (Coriariaceae) and Cucumis sativus (Cucurbitaceae) are members of the Cucurbitales. Nodules of the legumes Lotus japonicus and Glycine max were analyzed as well. Average and standard deviation of six (C. glauca, C. myrtifolia) or three (B. bowerae, C. sativus, L. japonicus, G. max) biological samples are presented. Concentrations are given in pmol/g fresh weight.
