  In vitro ubiquitylation assays, in which purified CLRC was incubated with biotinylated ubiquitin and recombinant histone H2A (A), H2B (B), or H4 (C). The proteins were resolved by SDS–PAGE and analyzed by Western blotting using the indicated antibodies. The single and double asterisks indicate mono‐ and di‐ubiquitylated histone species, respectively, and the triple asterisk indicates an unrelated cross‐reactive band for the anti‐H2A antibody.
