An overview of the soil samples and estimates of 16S rRNA gene sequence diversity and phylotype coverage of the PacBio data. Diversity was estimated using operational taxonomic units (OTUs). Diversity indices and richness estimators were calculated using the Mothur package (the mother project; http://www.mothur.org).
