CD163⁺ TAMs block the recruitment antitumor CD8 T cells by blocking the accumulation of Ly6C⁺, Nr4a1⁻ MNs and CD11c^hi iTAMs. Upon CD163⁺ TAM depletion, Ly6C⁺, Nr4a1^neg MNs are rapidly mobilized, leading to the accumulation of CD11c^hi iTAMs that in connection with CD4⁺ T cells drive the recruitment and activation of antitumor CD8⁺ T cells.
