H2O2-induced Cl− influx is Ca2+-dependent and Na+-independent. All ion-substituted buffers were iso-osmotic with the control Ringer's buffer. The Ca2+-deficient buffer also contained 1 mm EGTA. In the Na+-deficient buffer, choline chloride replaced NaCl.
