G_αolf, OMP, and GBC-1 levels change after differentiation of odora cells. Protein transfer blots (left) of control (C) and treated (T) odora cell extracts reveal an increase in overall G_αolf expression after differentiation. However, the percentage of cells (right, average ± SD) expressing immunohistochemically detectable levels of G_αolf does not increase after treatment, suggesting an increase in G_αolflevels in each expressing cell. In contrast, the percent of cells expressing detectable levels of OMP increases, and the percent expressing GBC-1 decreases after differentiation.
