Golgi complex elements colocalize with stable microtubules. Soleus fibers were double-stained for MG160 (red) and glutamylated tubulin (green) and observed with a confocal microscope. The top panel shows a view at the surface of a fiber. A nucleus (arrows) is surrounded by microtubules and Golgi elements. Notice that all Golgi elements are associated with stable microtubules. The bottom panel shows a view from inside the fiber. The rows of Golgi elements are associated with stretches of stable microtubules. Scale bar, 10 μm.
