(A) In study 3, HS rats were stratified by their PPI scores in rats with low-PPI scores (Low-PPI), medium-PPI scores (Medium-PPI) and high-PPI scores (High-PPI). Moreover, control groups for background noise (No-Pulse) and pulse-alone (Pulse) were used. (B) In study 4, one week after undergoing an MRI session, HS rats were submitted to another PPI session to obtain samples to conduct c-Fos analyses.
