Inhibition of p38 signalling prevents ROT‐induced apoptosis in SH‐SY5Y cells. Cells were pre‐treated with p38 inhibitor SB203580 (SB, 10 μmol/L) for 1 h, followed by ROT (0.5 μmol/L) exposure for 1 d. A, Cleaved (cl.) PARP was detected by Western blotting, with β‐actin as the loading control. The MTT assay (B) and DAPI staining (C) were performed to evaluate the effect of p38 inhibition on ROT‐induced neurotoxicity.
