Level of growth arrest-specific 5 (GAS5) expression.

(A, B) We used a deribosomal RNA sequence (A) and real-time polymerase chain reaction (B) to detect differences in GAS5 expression between Lhx8-overexpressing and normal PC12 cells. Results showed that the expression of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) GAS5 increased after overexpression of Lhx8 compared with negative control lentivirus (LV-NC) and control groups. (C) GAS5 lentivirus and negative lentivirus were transfected into PC12 cells. Green fluorescent protein (GFP) was found in both lncRNA GAS5-overexpressing lentivirus (LV-GAS5) and LV-NC groups. Bars: 200 μm. (D) Transfection efficiencies were approximately 95% in the two groups. (E) mRNA levels of GAS5 were obviously increased after GAS5 transfection.
