Time-dependent binding of C4-oxidizing NcLPMOs to PASC in the absence (A) and presence (B) of 1 mm AscA. The percentage of unbound LPMO was determined by measuring the reduction in the concentration of LPMO in solution over time. The experiments were carried out using 2 mg·ml⁻¹ PASC and 5 μm LPMO in 50 mm Bis-Tris (pH 6.5) at 45 °C and 1000 rpm. Error bars represent S.D. of triplicate samples. Analysis of the same experiments by SDS-PAGE showed similar trends (Fig. S1).
