The effects of strychnine and bicuculline on the outward currents in wide-field amacrine cells. C, The outward currents were blocked by bicuculline, suggesting that they arrive at these cells via GABAA receptors. The remaining inward current is probably attributable to the fact that the cell was not clamped at the exact reversal potential for the excitatory currents.
