Identification of noradrenergic-specific protein factors that interact with domain II by Southwestern blot analysis.A, One hundred micrograms of nuclear proteins extracted from the indicated cell line were separated on a denaturing polyacrylamide gel, transferred to two sets of nitrocellulose membranes, and probed with the P32-labeled domain II oligonucleotide probe (∼500,000 cpm/ml) in the absence (A) or presence (B) of a 100-fold molar excess of unlabeled domain II oligonucleotide. Two major proteins of ∼35–40 kDa were identified to specifically interact with domain II only in DBH-positive cells.
