Laser doppler flowmeter probes showed that focal ischemia resulted in severe blood flow deficits within the central zones of the ischemic distribution (A) and mild to moderate blood flow deficits in the ischemic periphery (B). There were no differences in the degree of blood flow reductions between wild-type and nNOS mutant mice.
