A1, Experiment performed in an isolated buccal ganglion shows that PSPs in B8 are evoked by injection of current into the soma of B51. A2, PSPs are abolished when the buccal ganglion is placed in a solution that abolishes synaptic transmission (i.e., 0 Ca⁺² and 10 mm Co⁺²).
