GAVSTA does not affect baseline synaptic transmission in nonpotentiated pathways. Four hippocampal slices were preincubated with 1 mm GAVSTA for 50–60 min. Subsequently, basal synaptic responses (open circles) were simultaneously recorded in one pathway while TBS was applied to the second pathway (solid circles) at time 0 (arrow).
