PZP (pregnancy zone protein) is a cytoplasmic and nuclear protein that is released in neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs). (A) In patients with bronchiectasis, extracellular PZP correlates with markers of NET formation. (B) Peripheral blood neutrophils were induced to undergo NET formation with 600 nM phorbol myristol acetate for 4 hours. The NETs contain PZP.
