Inhibition of PKA partly suppresses SBP-induced expressions of neurofilaments. (A): Cultured PC12 cells were pre-treated with or without PKA inhibitor, H89 (5 μM), for 3 h, and treated with SBP_water (500 μg/ml), or SBP_EtOH (100 μg/ml), or NGF at 50 ng/ml (positive control), for 48 h. The cell lysates were collected to determine the expressions of NF68 (∼68 kDa), NF160 (∼160 kDa), and NF200 (∼200 kDa). GAPDH (∼38 kDa) served as a loading control. (B): Quantification from the blots by a densitometer was shown. Values were expressed as the fold of change (x Basal) against the control (no treatment; set as 1), mean ± SEM, n = 4, * p < 0.05.
