Altered HIF1α expression after the application of acetylsalicylic acid or ibuprofen in different cell lines under normoxia. Saos-2, XF354 and MDA-MB-231 cells were treated with 10 mM acetylsalicylic acid or 3 mM ibuprofen in RPMI 1640 medium with 5 mM glutamine under normoxic conditions for 24 h. Western blot analysis was performed with anti-HIF1α monoclonal antibody and anti-β-actin monoclonal antibody as a control. Acetylsalicylic acid or ibuprofen significantly reduced the glutamine-induced expression level of the normoxic HIF1α.
