Experimental paradigm. One run consisted of six blocks. Each block contained two stimuli that were of a different category from the others in order to avoid the perception of a uniform stimulus block. Two runs were presented for a total of 54 faces and 54 objects. Individual face (F) and object (O) events were used for fNIRS and EEG ERP analyses, and blocks were used for frequency band source localization.
