Pictures were taken at the indicated time points. (C) Bacterial cultures (107 CFU/mL) of the indicated strains were inoculated into sweet orange leaves and bacterial populations were determined at 0, 4, 6 and 8 days post‐inoculation. (D) Bacterial growth was monitored in the XVM2 medium. (C, D) Values represent means ± SD (n = 3). One‐way ANOVA with post hoc Tukey HSD test was applied to compare multiple strains. Statistical significance means P < 0.01. All the experiments were repeated three times independently with similar results.
