Gap discrimination (ms) for tone pips as a function of study. The relevant data from Gallun et al. (2014) are shown for comparison with this study. Note that carrier frequency was changed to 750 Hz in this study from 2000 Hz to provide a temporal fine structure cue. No change in performance was observed, suggesting listeners used the same temporal envelope cue to perform the task.
