Representative images for skin samples from healthy control subjects and AD patients are shown. Skin biopsies from normal healthy subjects, AD-lesional, and AD-nonlesional skin were stained with a standard H&E staining protocol (a). Immunofluorescence staining for FLG (red, b) and CDSN (red, c) are shown. Wheat germ agglutinin-conjugated fluorescein isothiocyanate (green) was used to stain the cytoskeleton.
