Effect of DOX and RYR block on [Ca2+i], rhythmic contractions, and calculated flow in isolated lymph vessels

Compared with baseline values, DOX (10 μmol/l) increased resting [Ca2+i], reduced end-diastolic diameter, and decreased contraction amplitude, resulting in attenuation of flow. Block of RYRs by a high concentration of ryanodine (100 μmol/l) prevented the effects of DOX (*P < 0.05; mean ± S.E.M., n = 4–7).
