Mac-2BP complexes with E-selectin and Gal-1hFc reduce anisotropy compared to Mac-2BP complexes with E-selectin. Mac-2BP from ZR-75-1 and SK-BR-3 breast cancer lysate forms binding complexes with FITC conjugated E-selectin. The binding complex decreases in anisotropy with the introduction of Gal-1hFc into the system, resulting in what can be inferred as competitive binding between Gal-1 and E-selectin for Mac-2BP. E-selectin/FITC fluorophore, DPBS+ and the FITC fluorophore alone were used as baseline controls. Data are representative of n = 3 independent experiments.
