Gene expression and genome sequence coverage of Aminopeptidase-N gene family. The tree on the left is a hierarchical clustering of expression values and squares on the right side of the tree correspond to the clades of Aminopepdidase-N members assigned by Boulain et al. (2018). A heatmap of expression levels of Aminopeptidase-N family members in various aphid lines is shown in the middle. DE categories and sequencing coverage of the genomes and NCBI accession numbers are shown on the right. The genes were considered as candidate salivary effector genes if they were present in the 3,546 set established by the transcriptomes of LSR1 and P123 salivary glands. Detection of proteins in aphid saliva was reported by Boulain et al. (2018) and Carolan et al. (2009).
