Means and s.e.m.s (x10–6 cells/μm2) of PV/PNN overlap densities presented based on age (P15 vs. adult), housing (SE vs. EE), cell type (Hi vs. Lo PV) and region (Medial vs. Lateral). Overlap densities varied with all factors. EE samples exhibited significantly greater Lo PV/PNN densities in lateral regions at P15. Both SE as well as EE adults revealed greater Lo PV/PNN overlap in medial, but not lateral areas (see text for details).
